The Comedy About Spies is set to get a West End opening on April 14th, 2025 as this brand new show comes from the company behind The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About A Bank Robbery.
This action-packed thriller will start its performance run at the Noël Coward Theatre in London on Monday 14 April 2025, with an opening Gala on Tuesday 6 May 2025.
A sneak peek of the opening scene of the show was presented at The Royal Variety Performance in the presence of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen at The Royal Festive Hall.

Spies from the CIA and the KGB assemble at London’s Piccadilly Hotel to track down the British mole and obtain the file. When a young British couple and an older actor auditioning for the title role in the first James Bond film check into the hotel, the stakes reach boiling point in this hilarious Cold War comedy.
The Comedy about Spies is written by original Mischief company members Henry Lewis and Henry Shields and directed by Matt Di Carlo. Cast and further creatives to follow. The Comedy about Spies is presented by Kenny Wax and Stage Presence in association with Jo Danvers.
Mischief Theatre Ltd. was founded in 2008 by a group of acting graduates of LAMDA and began as an improvised comedy group. Mischief performs across the UK and internationally with original scripted and improvised work and also has a programme of workshops.
The company is owned and controlled by its original members and is led by a creative group and its directors Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer. Mischief shows can currently be watched all over the globe with their award-winning smash hit The Play That Goes Wrong currently playing in London and New York.
Following its West End premiere Peter Pan Goes Wrong was nominated for Best New Comedy at the Olivier Awards, and in 2022 made its North American premiere in Canada at the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton. Peter Pan Goes Wrong played a limited engagement on Broadway from March-July 2023 starring the original Mischief company, before transferring to the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.
