Today Paramount shared footage behind the scenes of an underwater stunt that sees Tom Cruise suited and booted and ready to put on more epic stunts for us all to enjoy as one of Hollywood’s best for doing his own stunts.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and has a stacked cast including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Vanessa Kirby, Hannah Waddingham, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Frederick Schmidt, Stephen Oyoung and Angela Bassett.
As one of Hollywood’s last true daredevils, it’s always incredible to see how dedicated Tom is towards getting the most authentic footage on screen as humanly possible.
His dedication to his craft really is something to admire and it’s why these films do so well because the stunts are their own separate pieces of art in their own right including this latest Tom Cruise underwater stunt.

From 1996 to this instalment it was the final Mission Impossible film in the franchise. It’s been quite the run.
To all the cast, crew and everyone in between (and of course to Tom) over the 8 films. Thank you! What a ride it has been as a fan to enjoy these marvellous films for many many years without losing that spark, joy and excitement that Mission Impossible brings to the big screen.
It is a Hollywood Blockbuster in every sense of the word!
