Whilst Dexter: Original Sin on Paramoung+ is airing to pad out Dexter Morgan’s past it has today been confirmed by director and executive producer Marcus Siega that Dexter Resurrection filming is officially underway today.
Michael C. Hall back as Dexter is a match made in heaven as the sequel series is set to hit screens this summer, a photo of a clapperboard for Episode 101 was unveiled today but has since disappeared from social media.
I’m very curious as to how they’re going to continue Dexter’s story and in what part of the timeline they’re going to pick it up from considering Dexter’s fate at the end of the last season.
It is believed that after being originally ‘fatally’ being shot in the show at the end of Dexter: New Blood it seems as though the snow stopped his blood loss and allowed him to be saved.
In Dexter: Resurrection he’ll be facing the consequences of his crimes with lots more room for expansion for this incredible character.
David Zayas, Jack Alcott and James Remar have joined the cast and will reprise their original roles as Detective Angel Batista, Harrison Morgan (Dexter’s Son) and Harry Morgan (Dexter’s Dad).
Having James Remar back as Harry Morgan is a great choice and I’m curious as to how his voice/flashbacks will be incorporated into either Dexter’s, Harrison’s or both character’s storylines.
I’m so glad we get more of Dexter in Dexter: Resurrection. Michael C Hall back in the role is always going to entice fans of the series to tune in and let’s hope the storyline is stronger than the previous season with the ending in particular being slated by fans worldwide.
