Wednesday is back for Season 2 as a new teaser has been unveiled today by Netflix!
Part 1 will debut on August 6th and Part 2 will drop on September 3rd of this spooky series as we revisit Nevermore Academy as the next chapter in this Tim Burton woven story continues.
It’s Pugsley’s turn to go to Nevermore this year (played by Isaac Ordonez) and he looks to have adopted similar electrical type powers as his Uncle as shown briefly in the teaser released today.
Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán), will also feature a lot more in season 2 as the original season had Wednesday as the core focus it’s now time to expand the storylines of other characters as new locations, new faces and familiar favourites all come together in season 2.
One particular character that surprised me, well actress even is Joanna Lumley has been added to the cast as Hester Frump, Morticia’s complex mother and Wednesday’s closest ally.
Steve Buscemi is also being introduced to the cast as Principal Dort after the last principal met her demise in the Season 1 finale but enough talking about it, just check out the teaser below and see what you think!
I’m excited to go back to Nevermore in 2025, this really is the year of Netflix with Wednesday, Squid Games and Stranger Things all dropping in the same year, they must already be feet up on a beach somewhere knowing that 2025 has just been won already.
Seeing inside the mind of Tim Burton is always a fun experience for a fan and even more fun for the cast who get to renact all of his crazy concoctions and ideas.
The Tim Burton Exhibition in London was an absolute joy to be a part of and he joined us (mid-filming Wednesday Season 2 in fact) to speak to us about the exhibition and everything within it.
Tim is a very introverted man but someone who knows what he wants and has a really unique vision that really shines brightly on a big screen.
Roll on Wednesday Season 2 and all of its gothic and wonderfulness and if it’s even comparable to the incredible and groundbreaking first season then we’re all in for an absolute treat!
