On Sunday, she attended the Chicago Cubs game to perform “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh inning stretch, and let’s just say, her performance didn’t quite hit it out of the park.
Alex took to the field to sing the song along with two friends, wearing a Chicago Cubs jersey. After introducing herself, she launched into the song, singing in a dramatically deep tone and off beat as her friends laughed and danced behind her.

The crowd immediately started booing her, but Alex kept going, singing even louder and trying her best not to laugh before eventually concluding the performance.
People were quick to criticize her online, too, with many accusing Alex of ruining and making a “mockery” of the song.
“She has no business being given that honor just to make a mockery of it!” one TikTok user stated, as another called Alex’s performance an “incredibly hard watch.”
“God that was awful,” a third viewer said, while others called her rendition everything from “painful” to absolutely “horrible.”
They also had words about Alex’s friends for “the disrespect” they showed at the game.
“The girls doing their little dance behind her is definition of middle school,” one person declared. “Who even are these people?”
Sheesh! Alex hasn’t addressed the backlash so far, but we’ll let you know if she does. In the meantime, tell me what you make of all of this below.
