Amy Blanc Lacy, a veteran script supervisor on The Walking Dead, Halt and Catch Fire, Loki and other shows, died of injuries suffered in a hit-and-run crash early this month. She was 62.
Lacy died on September 5, four days after the Toyota Prius she was riding in was struck by another vehicle in Atlanta. Local police said the other driver, Buck Rollins, 31, was going more than 90 mph in a 45 mph zone and abandoned his Hyundai Elantra at the scene. He later turned himself in to Fulton County Jail and is charged with first-degree homicide by vehicle, hit and run, reckless driving and speeding.
In their preliminary report, Atlanta police said officers responded to Northside Parkway and Mount Paran Road at about 5:23 p.m. on Labor Day, September 1, and found Lacy critically injured. She was transported to a local hospital, where she died four days later.
Police said the Prius was traveling southbound through an intersection when the driver of the Elantra lost control and collided with the Prius. Also hurt were the male driver of the Prius, 23, and another male passenger, 25; neither man’s name was released, and their condition was not reported.
