It’s not long now until Halloween Haunt Fest in Hertfordshire open their doors and let guests experience the UK’s first-ever officially licensed Texas Chainsaw Massacre scare maze and today we’ve been sent a first look inside this incredible IP-themed maze.
Halloween Haunt Fest will be debuted not one but two IP mazes with the addition of the world’s first Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey scare maze along with two original creations of their own, sci-fi horror maze E.D.E.N and the witch themed Trials of Jane Wenham scare maze.
If that wasn’t enough there is a walkthrough scare zone at the event, a themed bar with a whole variety of food and drinks available and even a funfair!
As you can see in the small glimpses that have kindly been shared with us today there is a nice eerie feeling to proceedings and the level of detail is certainly a major highlight here even down to the same design wallpaper used as in the movie.
When it comes to IP mazes the attention really is in the detail and everything has to be signed off to such a high standard so I absolutely cannot wait to see this thing in person and with the event stating that each maze takes around 5-minutes to navigate we’re certainly in for a treat here with the sheer scale of the mazes clear for all to see.
The maze will be packed full of iconic scenes from the movie and marks Leatherface’s first debut here in the UK in scare maze format, this independent horror event are showing the big boys how it’s done by delivering recognisable IP the likes you’d see at major theme parks around the world, to an independent attraction in Hertfordshire and better still, it’s their first year!
With IP’s already lined up in their inaugural scare event one can only dream of what they have planned for the future and that’s a very exciting prospect indeed for anyone wanting to get a taste of these popular IP’s right here in the UK and we certainly deserve them.
Whilst adamant they’re not comparing themselves to Halloween Horror Nights over at Universal Studios (despite a similar name) the team behind Halloween Haunt Fest are working tirelessly to bring this event to life and I absolutely cannot wait to see what they deliver.
Out of every scare event in the country this year Halloween Haunt Fest is without a shadow of a doubt my most highly anticipated.
I’m genuinely tempted to just take a seat within the maze and watch all of the chaos unfold around me and it’ll be bloody brilliant!
CEO/Producer, Nick Doherty said about the maze:
It’s been a pleasure working with the team from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
