It looks as though Disney have finally decided to let it go when it comes to the Anna, Elsa and Kristoff animatronics housed within the Frozen Ever After ride in EPCOT as they’re set to under-go a dramatic refurbishment.
Whilst looking a little strange with their screen faces and animatronic bodies it looks as though they’re now getting the Hong Kong Disneyland treatment with full animatronic bodies and faces.
When the Frozen ride first opened these figures were groundbreaking but the ride has been open close to around 10 years now and it’s time for a fresh upgrade.
Frozen was also the first attraction to have all electric Audio-Animatronic figures and the first to combine electric motors and 3D printing but now Walt Disney Imagineering are set to improve these figures dramatically.
Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures will soon receive new updates after ten years of delighting fans in Frozen Ever After. They will bring a more true-to-film look to the characters and with how impressive the Hong Kong Disneyland Frozen animatronics are (see video below) I think Florida visitors are going to be in for a real trip during their trips to EPCOT in 2026.
No official reveal date has been announced but we’re certainly in for a treat!
