Gillian Anderson is set to be immortalised in wax as Madame Tussaud’s today released some behind the scenes images of Gillian undergoing all of the routine involved before being turned into wax (not her, a replica, obviously).

From her unforgettable breakthrough as Dana Scully in The X-Files to her critically acclaimed performances in The Crown and Sex Education, Gillian brings intelligence, depth, and magnetic presence to every role.

This new figure will continue to celebrate her talent as Madame Tussauds London continues to keep creating and growing as an attraction.

She will be joining the likes of Lady Gaga, Timothée Chalamet, Angelina Jolie, and Dwayne Johnson in Madame Tussauds London’s Awards Party section of the attraction so you know she’ll be glammed up in this particular party section.

From her breakout role in 1993 as Dana Scully in The X-Files all the way up to her standout performance as Margaret Thatcher in The Crown in 2016 earning a Golden Globe and Emmy Nomination and then from there into another popular Netflix show, Sex Education.

She just keeps on going, year after year showcasing her talents to the world.

Discussing her wax figure Gillian said:

“It’s been incredible to have up-close access to watch the expert Madame Tussauds London team at work — the level of precision and detail that goes into these works of art is extraordinary. I can’t wait to see the finished piece and share the final look with fans in the London attraction later this year.”

Steve Blackburn, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London, added:

“Gillian epitomises the modern-day icon — celebrated on stage, screen, and red carpets worldwide, it was about time we create her first-ever figure! We are honoured to be working with Gillian herself to ensure we’re capturing an exact likeness and to have her collaboration and input throughout.”
