As more and more celebrities make their often awkward way down the hall at The Jennifer Hudson Show, Nikki Glaser took aim at the show’s backstage ritual on Saturday Night Live.
The host of this weekend’s episode appeared in a pharmaceutical sketch for Hudsacilin, “the only medication proven to cure spirit tunnel-related symptoms” for guests of the syndicated talk show.
“I love Jennifer Hudson, but as an uncoordinated white woman, I felt trapped,” she said. “I tried practicing, but everything I came up with looked career-ending.”
A voiceover explains, “Hudsacilin works, not by taking your anxiety away, but by making you so violently ill, you have no choice but to cancel.”
While Glaser gets sick in the bathroom, the voiceover continues to note that Hudsacilin is “made from a gentle blend of E. Coli, Influenza, C. diff and rancid buttermilk.”
In recent months, celebs like Michelle Obama, Simon Cowell, Renee Rapp, Kevin Hart and more have appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, which has the show’s staff line the hall from their dressing room to the stage, hyping them up with a personalized chant and dance.
