As ICE faces another nationwide outcry, Hannah Einbinder is using her platform to call out the government agency and urging others to do the same.
Following the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis, the 4x Golden Globe nominee emphasized that “none of us are safe” until Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is abolished.
“The imperial boomerang has come back home. What we FUND and allow to happen to Palestinians by the hands of the IDF who TRAIN ICE will happen to our people here in America. They poisoned Flint Michigan and got away with it so they knew they could put Al data centers in poor communities and poison their water too. Hawaii burned and real estate developers snatched up the land from generational locals and they got away with it. So when LOS ANGELES burned the developers knew they could do the same here. And if this sadist Nazi murderer JONATHAN ROSS who killed RENEE NICOLE GOOD for consciously observing an ICE raid gets away with it? None of us are safe,” she wrote in a statement shared to Instagram.
“Artists, people with platforms, I am asking you to dedicate your voice to fighting this TONIGHT and in perpetuity until ICE is abolished. Every single day. We cannot go on business as usual-that is a collective death sentence,” added Einbinder. “ICE PIGS ROT IN HELL.”
The victim of Wednesday’s shooting was identified as Renee Nicole Good, 37, a US citizen and Twin Cities resident who had a 6-year-old child, according to the StarTribune.
In a statement, Tricia McLaughlin, spokesperson for DHS, said that “ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism.”
“An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said that the agents were taking part in an enforcement action “because of the adverse weather that is in Minneapolis. They were attempting to push out their vehicle and a woman attacked them, and those surrounding them, and attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle.”

In a press conference, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said the Trump administration is “already trying to spin this as an action of self defense. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly, that is bullshit. This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying, getting killed.” Frey also told ICE to the get “f*ck out of Minneapolis.”
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said that the incident is still under investigation as to what happened. He and Frey called for peace in the city, as protesters gathered at the location of the incident in south Minneapolis.
