I signed up for a free sample of Creed Wild Vetiver off their website to check out, the brand new fragrance from the house of creed and here’s my initial thoughts.
This brand new fragrance from the house of Creed is described as follows:
Experience untamed elegance with a vetiver expression inspired by an English garden party wandering into the wild. Wild Vetiver is a fragrance off the beaten path, walking the line between precise refinement and nature.
Born from noble roots yet spirited in its freedom, this sculpted composition reveals a vibrant tension between sophistication and wilderness. Opening with the spiced vibrancy of hand-harvested timur berry, the heart unfolds as rose centifolia rambles freely.
At the base, vetiver casts a woody trail, grounding the composition with modern elegance. This is an enchanting journey through an aristocratic garden, where halcyon moments and the joy of missing out drift through the air.
With head notes of Timur Berry, Bergamot, Pink Pepper – Heart notes of Rose Centifolia, Geranium, Blackcurrant Bud and Base Notes of Vetiver, Cedarwood, Amberwood you can see the vibe that Creed are going with for this one.

Floral, garden esque with a splash of citrus. It’s got summer scent written all over it and is marketed as a Unisex fragrance, one whiff of it to my nose (my opinion) and it’s absolutely 100% a feminine fragrance and instantly slapped me in the face with what I can only describe as a Potpourr scent.
That floral scent instantly transports you to the very garden that Creed have put in the description, you can see this wide open space, white furniture, blooming flowers giving off this lovely odour as you indulge in some nice drinks leisurely strolling around but I don’t fancy a garden centre slapped on my skin (personal preference).
Instantly what this fragrance did remind me of was a trip to Saudi Arabia where there was a dark ride at a theme park called The Enchanted Greenhouse as guests travel through various blossoms encountering various magical creatures.
The smell inside that particular dark ride?
Creed Wild Vetiver.
Or a VERY close scent to it, that very same floral experience and fresh scent that in no way in my brain would make sense on male skin (especially in the opening).
It also reminds me of the film The Secret Garden, if that had smell-o-vision it would totally be Creed Wild Vetiver.

What I will say is that this £210 (50ml) or £369 (100ml) bottle of plonk would make a mighty fine room spray but I just can’t wrap my head around it being a skin fragrance until very deep into the dry down (1-2 hours) where it becomes a nice woody scent but unless I was dressed head to toe in the finest floral dress and heels I’m not quite sure I could get away with it being a masculine fragrance for the first couple of hours of wearing it.
Creed Wild Vetiver is a beautiful scent, it really is.
But is it for me?
Absolutely not.
But if you’re a theme park designer working on an immersive way to enchant your guests in a magical garden landscape or scene within a ride, then I’d certainly look into deconstructing the notes of this one, it’s an absolute winner!
