Leonid “Leo” Radvinsky, the owner of adult-content digital platform OnlyFans, has died of cancer, the company confirmed Monday to Deadline. He was 43.
Radvinsky’s date of death was not disclosed, but some news outlets are reporting he passed on March 20.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky,” a spokesperson for OnlyFans said in the statement. “Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. His family have requested privacy at this difficult time.”
Born in the Ukraine, Radvinsky grew up in Chicago and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Northwestern University.
In 2018 he acquired Fenix International Limited, the company that owns and operates OnlyFans. He was a director and the majority shareholder of the company.
Since 2024 Radvinsky’s shares in Fenix International Limited, the owner and operator of OnlyFans, have been held in the LR Fenix Trust.
In addition to his work at OnlyFans, Radvinsky was an angel investor in a number of companies. He also supported several philanthropic projects globally.
According to OnlyFans, Radvinsky was in talks last year to sell the company for about $8 billion. The porn-friendly platform was reported to have 305 million users at the time. In 2023, OnlyFans paid out $6.6 billion to creators — up 19% or $1.2 billion from the year before. The platform takes a 20% cut of payments from users, while creators keep 80%. The company’s 2023 net revenue jumped to $1.3 billion, with two-thirds of that from the U.S., while its pre-tax profit jumped 25% to $658 million.
Also according to the company, some of its top creators include Cardi B, Bella Thorne, Iggy Azalea, Bhad Bhabie and Mia Khalifa. The company also launched an effort to recruit non-porn creators in 2021 with OFTV, a safe-for-work free streaming service with original content.
