Yung Miami Opens Up About Relationship With Diddy & Why She Wrote Character Letter Supporting Him Despite Footage Of Him Assaulting Cassie
On Tuesday, March 24, a video was released via the official YouTube page of ‘The Breakfast Club.’
It showed Charlamagne Tha God interviewing Yung Miami. Furthermore, about 13 minutes into their sit-down, Charlamagne asked Miami why she was comfortable rapping about Diddy in her songs despite the recent sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution allegations against him. In turn, Miami explained that she shouldn’t be “silenced” from speaking on Diddy. This, because the relationship she and Diddy had wasn’t a “crime.”
Furthermore, Charlamagne then asked how Miami was able to “reconcile” the Diddy she knew with the one who ended up in the headlines. To that, she seemed to say that, although she loves him, she accepted that their romance may need to be revisited later.
At that point, Charlamagne referenced the letter Yung Miami wrote to the judge presiding over Diddy’s 2025 case. Additionally, he mentioned that the public was confused about how Miami wrote the letter after seeing the 2016 footage of Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. Ultimately, she explained that she felt the man she “met and experienced” was “changed.”

Instagram user @curl_de_lis wrote, “All she cares about is how he treated her. Thats all everyone around him cared about, which is why his behavior carried on as long as it did. Sad. Everyone that benefited, turned a blind eye.”
While Instagram user @ayootravv added, “I was wondering how she was gonna address this… she handled this interview pretty well”
Instagram user @lawgirl_smallwrld wrote, “Nah @cthagod didn’t ask the right question. After all she said he failed to ask, ‘If you believe he was changed why did you, in a public social media dispute, with his ex-girlfriend say that when he gets home that you’ll make Diddy put her on her knees and degrade her. That’s not the behavior of a changed person or a person who BELIEVES they have changed.’”
