EXCLUSIVE: Billings Productions, the independent production company best known for its work on the Prime Video series Off Campus, a romantic drama based on books from Elle Kennedy, has optioned Sandie Jones‘ bestselling psychological thriller The Other Woman for series development.
A search for a writer to adapt is currently underway. Billings Productions’ Leanna Billings and Ceylin Kocagöz will exec produce, with Noelia Murphy-Devaney, Neal Flaherty, and author Jones serving as producers.
Published in 2018, The Other Woman is a New York Times bestseller and a Reese’s Book Club pick that also landed on best-of lists from Good Morning America, Library Journal, CrimeReads, and BuzzFeed.
The story follows Emily, who falls in love with the perfect man, Adam, and believes she has finally found the life she’s always wanted — until she meets his mother, Pammie. To the outside world, Pammie is warm, polished, and unwaveringly supportive. But behind closed doors, her behavior toward Emily grows increasingly calculated and destabilizing. What begins as emotional manipulation slowly reveals itself to be something far more complicated — and far more dangerous — than anyone realizes.
