The Artemis II crew have returned to Earth after a 10-day mission to the Moon. The crew splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the west coast of the United States.
The Orion spacecraft, nicknamed Integrity by the crew, traveled through the Earth’s atmosphere at nearly 25,000 miles per hour and experienced temperatures of 2,760C— about half as hot as the Sun.
The four astronauts made history by breaking the previous record for the furthest humans ever travelled into space.
