Sean S. Cunningham’s massively successful 1980 shocker Friday the 13th – that introduced the world to the legend of Jason Voorhees and spawned numerous sequels and a remake – is released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment for the first time in the UK on 4K Ultra HD and SteelBook on October 12, 2026.

Hapless camp councillors are killed off one by one in various ghastly ways in gloriously gruesome detail in this outstanding UHD release of the landmark terror classic that launched a thousand slashers. Directed by Sean S. Cunningham (The New Kids), with a spine-chilling score by Harry Manfredi (Child’s Play), the film stars Betsy Palmer (The Fear) and Adrienne King (Almost Famous), and features an early role for Kevin Bacon (Mystic River).
