More Cars Piston Peak National Park news was dropped at the recent D23 fan event in the United States as Magic Kingdom is set for a huge transformation.
The brand new racing attraction coming to the brand new Piston Peak National Park area puts guests straight into Cars Ridge run Rally as they compete for the fastest lap in the west.
Guests will be taken through the rugged beauty of America’s national parks, including a climb up Piston Peak mountain itself where an ice, snow-covered mountaintop awaits.

After reaching the top, racers will plummet down for a camelback descent and later navigate an exhilarating geyser field. The race ends by circling the Old Tankfull geyser before a sprint to the finish line where Lightning McQueen and Mater are covering the race live on Racing Sports Network.
The ride will feature a new ride vehicle that will not simulate an off-road car but will actually be one. This is unlike any typical theme park ride system, by the sounds of it you’ll feel every bump, drop and rock because the car will be driving you around just like a real one would with tyres and real suspension reacting to the surroundings.
Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along

The second ride within this area we didn’t know much about until the announcement yesterday but now we do, well, sort of. We have an attraction name and some concept art at least!
A huge school-bus sized animatronic will host a stampeding base at a wild demolition derby.
As you can see from the images above the area will be full of lush landscaping and water features which for those who are still mourning the loss of Tom Sawyer’s Island and the surrounding water area will come as a small bandaid over that particular Magic Kingdom cut.
I for one am very much looking forward to seeing this attraction built but I still feel Tiana’s Bayou Adventure stands out like a sore thumb in this area, a very baffling decision with that one despite it being a wonderful ride!
