Encanto is getting its first ever ride within a Disney theme park and an announcement at D23 last night gave us a little more insight into what is about to come to Animal Kingdom in 2027.
As part of the new Tropical Americas land which will also feature a brand new Indiana Jones ride, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto will form part of this new land and take guests into the heart of House Madrigal.
Guests will be invited to celebrate Antonio’s new gift, which is the ability to communicate with animals. And the heartwarming message of this adventure is that we are all part of the familia of living things, regardless of our special gifts or abilities.
There will be no height requirement for the ride so it truly is fun for all the family and Imagineers have been working on expanding the world of Encanto as riders are invited to Casita as part of a cheerful celebration of Antonio’s gift day.
You will board a ride vehicle that will represent a different piece of furniture to carry you through the rooms as scenes unfold around you.
Guided through the house you’ll eventually end upstairs in Antoni’s room as the space has been transformed into a verdant rainforest overflowing with animal species, 50 to be exact which imagineerers wanted to make sure represented the animals found in Colombia very accurately.
Expect capybara’s, toucan’s and donkey’s aplenty!
