For years I’ve been hoping and praying that Universal Studios would introduce their own Krusty Krab complete with a real-life Krabby Patty burger but sadly all hope had failed on that front until Wendy’s this week saved my childhood dream!
The fictional fast-food Krabby Patty is now a real burger that can be purchased from Wendy’s to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the SpongeBob Squarepants animated TV series.
Two items are being released as part of this celebratory collaboration which includes the Krabby Patty cheeseburger which consists of a regular cheeseburger but with an extra slide of cheese and a ‘top secret’ Krabby Kollab sauce.
Alongside the burger, there is a special Pineapple Under the Sea frosty drink which consists of vanilla with a pineapple-and-mango-flavored puree swirled on top.
It seems to be all the rage at the moment as only this week Burger King is doing an Addams Family ‘Wednesday’s Whopper’ which comes complete with a purple bun.

Fans in Los Angeles can enjoy an exclusive first bite of Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab Meal on Monday, October 7 and Tuesday, October 8 through an immersive Wendy’s drive-thru experience in Panorama City. All other landlubbers across the U.S. and Canada can snag the Krabby Patty Kollab Burger and Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty in Wendy’s restaurants nationwide or through the Wendy’s mobile app beginning October 8.
I’ve only had to wait 25 years but a real-life Krabby Patty is finally here, now we just need it to come to the UK!!
