Danny Dyer is channelling his British inner Ari Gold in the first trailer released for One Last Deal which sees Dyer step into the role of Jimmy Banks, an old school football agent who needs to get his troubled star footballer one last big payday before his life, and his player’s reputation come tumbling down.
Directed by Brendan Muldowney the first trailer has been released today from Vertigo, and the fully synopsis for the film reads as follows:
When the prospect of a major new deal with a promising young player appears, Jimmy sees a route to get himself back on top… but when a blackmailer calls and the shady dealings of his past resurface, can Jimmy keep calm and get the job done? Danny Dyer is on top form as he takes centre stage in this fast-paced, pressure-cooker thriller set in the cutthroat world of football politics.
The trailer doesn’t give too much away which is rare for a trailer nowadays but I do hope that it doesn’t all focus around that office set, it needs to bounce around a little unless this is set to become a powerhouse Dyer performance and another set isn’t needed.
We don’t have long to find out because the film will be released in cinemas on March 13th.
