EastEnders spoilers – Inside Stuart Highway’s dramatic Walford exit; plus Coronation Street and Emmerdale news

EASTENDERS fans are in for a dramatic series of episodes as Stuart Highway’s heartwrenching storyline comes to an end.

Stuart Highway, who is played by Ricky Champ, has been suffering from depression for some time, and in upcoming scenes, these struggles are set to come to a head.

The EastEnders icon will lash out and take a GP hostage as part of his dramatic exit storyline.

Despite Karen Taylor trying her best to help the struggling character, nobody has got through to Stu.

Following the revelation that he has postnatal depression, Stuart’s heartache was compounded when doctors diagnosed him with male breast cancer.

After a frosty encounter with his former friend Mick (Danny Dyer), Stuart gets rid of his antidepressants and purchases some drugs.

Things go from bad to worse as Highway fails to get a GP appointment.

Enraged, Stuart takes drastic action.

Richy Champ’s exit from the iconic soap comes as part of the mass exodus of characters announced earlier this year, as the show’s bosses attempt a huge cast and producer shake-up.

  • EastEnders’s Ben struggles this week

Wanting to speak with Callum, Ben is left frustrated when their conversation doesn’t to well.

  • EastEnders fans all have the same complaint

The Mitchells were ready for revenge over Ben’s rape in last night’s trip to Albert Square.

However, EastEnders viewers deemed their dramatic scenes of Lewis Butler’s kidnap laughable.

On Tuesday, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) was shocked when his younger sister Sam (Kim Medcalf) revealed she had kidnapped Lewis at gunpoint, who was shown tied up in the boot of her car.

Sam then claimed it was time for them to avenge Ben and drove a surprisingly reluctant Phil to a warehouse.

The tough man showed unexpected growth and told Sam this wasn’t what Ben would want but before they could leave, Lewis had managed to escape with Sam’s gun.

However, BBC One viewers were distracted from all the drama as they swarmed over to Twitter in hysterics over the scenes.

Although the scenes didn’t keep them at their seats, they did manage to make them laugh as fans were reminded of a slapstick comedy show.

“Can we have a Phil and Sam comedy spin off? I’d watch it!”, one of them quipped as another echoed: “Lewis’ kidnap shouldn’t be this funny!”

The love birds recently jetted off to Crete and stayed at a five star hotel.

But have now returned to normality, and Maisie was spotted looking dispirited leaving rehearsals for Strictly Ballroom The Musical in London.

  • EastEnders fans all say the same thing after ‘laughable’ kidnapping scene

Fans of iconic soap were less than impressed as the Mitchells took revenge on Ben’s rapist.

“Can we have a Phil and Sam comedy spin off? I’d watch it!”, one of them quipped as another echoed: “Lewis’ kidnap shouldn’t be this funny!”

A third added: “Only Sam would leave the gun on the car roof. This is like one of those slapstick comedy shows.”

  • Warren’s hit-and-run is revisited

In later scenes, it’s clear Norma strives to make them get along but tension is in the air in Hollyoaks, as Sienna and Warren struggle to not butt heads.

But in a surprising turn of events, Sienna decides she wants out of the criminal world.

More importantly, she focuses her attention on finding out who ran Warren over in January, 2022.

This leads to her enlisting Ethan Williams’ help and the pair get a lot of their research done – just enough to track down the owner of the vehicle.

Viewers know the truth will be heart-breaking for Warren and could result in some huge family drama with his son Joel.

But how will Sienna and Ethan react?

  • Sienna escapes death

As mentioned above, the Undertaker is also on Sienna’s tail, determined to get rid of her.

This has led some viewers to wonder why the criminal is so adamant on keeping Warren around – could she have a secret connection to him?

Or does she just enjoy chaos?

Coming up, Norma sends a picture of Sienna to her hired hitman, the Embalmer (played by former Emmerdale legend Tony Mooney).

The terrifying villain sets out to look for her but Sienna goes off the grid and he mistakenly sets his sights on Liberty instead.

Norma then tells Warren that Sienna’s death is just a matter of time as the Embalmer is on to her – leading him to have a change of heart.

Warren is determined to save Sienna and relieved when he finds her in the village, unharmed.

But the relief makes way for dread as the pair come to the realisation somebody other than Sienna is in grave danger.

Warren and Sienna finally hash things out amid an epic showdown and Norma has a suggestion for the both of them.

    Will Liberty make it?

  • Shona McGarty’s wild girls trip to Ibiza

EastEnders’ Shona McGarty is having the time of her life on a wild girls’ holiday in Ibiza, days after confirming her romance with co-star Max Bowden.

The Whitney Dean actress is letting her hair down away from the drama of Albert Square, soaking up the sun by day and partying by night.

Giving fans a glimpse into the group’s antics on her Instagram story, Shona filmed herself lounging by the pool and was seen jumping into the pool.

She strutted her stuff on the beach and recorded her cheeky pal twerking in their hotel room.

Before jetting to the White Isle, Shona appeared to go Instagram official with Max.

The actress had previously remained silent on The Sun’s exclusive story about the pair’s relationship.

The pair were seen kissing and “all over each other” on a plane to Crete – and had previously been on holiday together to Portugal.

Maisie and Max have enjoyed a summer of love – travelling around Europe together.

The pair have so far been to THREE different countries as they enjoy their budding romance.

The new couple kicked things off with a trip to Portugal with pals, shortly followed by a break in Mallorca.

They managed to keep things underwraps for weeks – although the secret nearly got out.

They hit the bars in Albufeira with their mates but were then caught smooching.

A Brit tourist said: “They were holding hands and kissing. We then got chatting to them and they said they were dating but we must not tell anyone.”

They appeared on Strictly in 2020 but only grew close on the show’s live tours.

It comes after Max split for a second time from Ryan Giggs’ ex-wife Stacey in July 2022.
