Wrestling has always come with that preconceived notion of ‘being fake’ with its pre-scripted outcomes and storylines but what happens in the ring is anything but as the upcoming WWE Unreal Netflix documentary looks to shine a light on.
Entertaining fans comes with its own toll on each superstars body as this documentary will help to share their stories along with rare backstage footage to aim to quash the stigma that the entire show is fake, and whilst scripted still has real-world consequences.
This five-episode documentary is set to feature John Cena, Triple H, Rhea Ripley, CM Punk, Jey Iso, Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair, and Xavier Woods.
The synopsis for the show reads as follows:
“For the first time ever, step into the WWE writer’s room and outside the ring with your favorite WWE Superstars, where the drama is just as intense offstage as it is under the spotlight.”
Each episode lasts 50 minutes long and this deep-dive is unlike anything that the WWE has released before as the curtain seems well and truly lifted within the home of sports entertainment.
WWE: Unreal starts streaming on Netflix on July 29.
