The first trailer for I Know What You Did Last Summer has just dropped ahead of its release in theatres on July 18th and we thought hey, why not upload it to our absolutely dead Back to the Movies YouTube channel!
We were kindly sent the trailer in a press email so until the YouTube gods strike us down I assume we should be all good to go (I hope so, Sony).
This slasher reboot of the 1997 classic is set to star Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. who are set to reprise their original roles with Jonah Hauer-King, Madelyn Cline, Alexander Chavez, Lola Tung, Tyriq Withers, and Chase Sui Wonders also starring.
The synopsis for the upcoming reboot is as follows:
When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge.
As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.
