Netflix weren’t messing around today as it did one of it’s shortest lived pop-ups I think I’ve ever seen as on Wednesday August 13th a Wednesday pop-up experience appeared on Blackpool’s comedy carpet to celebrate season 2 of the Tim Burton series.
Tim Burton is no stranger to Blackpool, in fact he loves the place! A frequent visitor to Pleasure Beach Resort and even shot a music video inside the park along with the former Horror Crypt (now closed) which was one of the facades used in the Here With Me music video from The Killers.
Not only that but the very spot in which this Wednesday pop-up resides was featured in one of Tim Burton’s movies, Mrs Peregines Home for Peculiar Children. It’s no coincidence!

This pop-up in Blackpool was set up today and today only just until 6pm, blink and you’ll miss it but for those in Blackpool today you’d have seen quite the spectacle including a giant Thing hand along with a creepy holiday home complete with deck chairs and black parasols.
The seaside has some glorious weather today so seeing a dark and gloomy Wednesday pop-up was certainly a strange contrast but beach goers weren’t complaining as this Netflix experience had a little walkthrough holiday home complete with photo-op, mini museum and even a diorama for people to enjoy.

Gothic galore along with little freebies that were being handed out throughout the day including a Wednesday themed beach bucket hat, get those on eBay immediately! I’m joking… sort of.
Wednesday Season 2 is available to stream on Netflix and in the second series Wednesday investigates a cloaked stalker and a murder of crows, while also dealing with old and new adversaries.

Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 will drop on September 3 with four new episodes but until then you can check out all four episodes of Wednesday Season 2, part 1 right now!
What is it with Netflix and splitting up seasons lately?!
Just release them all at once I beg of you!

I want to express a huge thank you to AdamsDisneyMagic for allowing us to use these photos, he was one of the lucky few to be in Blackpool when this pop-up first appeared and managed to get in on all the action!
Thanks Adam!
