Today Universal Orlando Resort released some first-look images inside The Wicked Experience at Universal Orlando Florida.
This brand-new experience will officially be opened to the public on Saturday, November 16 as this all-new immersive experience invites guests to step inside the breathtaking world of Wicked before the highly anticipated Universal Pictures film hits theaters on November 22.
Just steps away from the front gate guests can enter Universal Studios Florida and follow the yellow brick road to the Land of Oz within this unique pop-up style venue. In this building, you can visit iconic Wicked locations from Shiz University to the Emerald City.
Along the way, they’ll find fanciful costume and prop replicas created by the designers from the film on display, immersive photo opportunities, spectacular scenic and theming that will recreate the most memorable moments of the film and an exciting variety of new merchandise including elevated apparel, home goods, accessories, toys and more.
Purchase food and drinks at Emerald City Eats, outside Wicked: The Experience. Fly to Universal CityWalk for a themed Voodoo Doughnut or shake at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savoury Feast Kitchen.
Original reactions from the lucky few press outlets who have seen the movie have been absolutely glowing with Ariana Grande’s performance noted as ‘perfect casting’ as she was born to play Glinda.
IndieWire’s Erin Strecker wrote on X, “Happy to confirm WICKED is the best musical-to-movie adaptation since CHICAGO and MAMMA MIA. Ariana Grande….is perfection!?”
Katcy Stephan of Variety called the film a “masterpiece” and added that Grande, 31, “milks every moment with gusto, humor and hair flips” as Glinda.
That’s quite the praise comparing it to Chicago and Mamma Mia but we won’t have long to wait and decide for ourselves.
