Sony Pictures has released the first 8 minutes of Kraven the Hunter ahead of its cinematic release on December 13th as star Aaron Taylor-Johnson opens this rather festive film treat for us all this holiday season.
Kraven the Hunter is the action-packed, standalone story of how one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless gangster father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared.
The opening 8 minutes of the film see Aaron Taylor-Johnson inside a Russian prison with an echoing Russian soundtrack bellowing throughout the opening interlude of the movie.

A great little prison yard scene shows a little glimpse at what Kraven is capable of as it’s safe to say no one will be bothering him too much whilst he’s serving his time in prison.
We’re not quite sure of any more details of this film but the basic premise behind Kraven The Hunter is that at various points in his life, he ingests a potion that enhances his physical attributes and in the comics, he makes it his mission to hunt Spider-Man.
The potion enhances his strength, speed, agility, stamina and longevity.

His hunting skills are legendary and he becomes a big game hunter and has advanced weapon skills including blowguns, darts, axes, whips, spears and more in the comics. He shuns bows and firing bullets but uses a rifle to deliver a wide range of drug-tipped darts.
