Marquise Brown Had A Curious Comment About The Ravens

Wide receiver Marquise Brown had some choice words about the Baltimore Ravens.

He could make those comments public now that he has been traded to the Arizona Cardinals.

On the first day of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Ravens traded Brown and their third-round pick in exchange for the Cardinals’ 23rd overall selection.

The trade reunited Brown and Kyler Murray, who both played at Oklahoma.

Meanwhile, the Ravens traded the pick they got from Arizona to the Buffalo Bills to select center Tyler Linderbaum.

After three seasons with the Ravens, Brown felt that he did not belong.

He said, “I want to feel like I am a part of something to win. At the Ravens, I just felt like sometimes they really didn’t need me. Regardless if I was there or not, they were going to win games.”

However, it’s not that he played poorly for Baltimore, especially during his last season with the squad.

In 2021, the Florida native completed 91 catches for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns.

Brown also started all 16 games he played.

But while he was their best-producing wide receiver, tight end Mark Andrews had a better season with 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns.

That dynamic is part of Baltimore’s unconventional ways which still work because they were at the brink of playoff contention.

If not for the injuries they suffered last season, they could have easily made the postseason.

A Breakout Season For Brown

Now that he is in a pass-happy offense in Arizona, Brown’s production should increase.

Murray will look for him, especially now that DeAndre Hopkins will be suspended for the first six games and Christian Kirk moved to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He, A.J. Green, and Zach Ertz will be the top targets in their passing game until Hopkins returns.
