Stranger Things is running riot this winter season as Season 5 is mere weeks away from release but McDonald’s have teamed up with Netflix to deliver a Stranger Things McDonald’s box meal complete with Hellfire dipping sauce and a collectible mini-figure.
These things look absolutely incredible and with KFC dropping an absolute clanger with their KFC Stranger Things meal (it’s grim, so grim) there is hope that McDonald’s can save the day as they keep their core menu as perfect as it is and simply compliment it with a nice dipping sauce, you can’t go wrong, can you?
Well, yes, yes you can because as it stands this collaboration is only available for fans in select countries outside of North America.
Spain, Portugal and Argentina look to already be selling this special edition meal but there has been no word on whether the UK will get this special themed box or even the US which is a real shame.
The toys actually look really good quality (similar to the impressive Minecraft Adult Happy Meal toys from earlier this year) and the themed box is always a nice touch. The dipping sauce is said to be a hot and spicy sauce with a smoky flavour combining chilli peppers with a hint of sweetness.
Fingers crossed the UK can get one of these as the KFC promotion just doesn’t hit home for me whatsoever, trust McDonald’s to roll up (again) and show them how a real promotion is done!
