Seven otherworldly nuns have taken part in a Warner Bros Nun II promotional stunt which saw them haunting iconic landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral and Millennium Bridge.
Long gone are the days of promotional stunts involving set-ups in cafes showcasing a girl with telekinetic powers or spray painting logos on sheep (The Smiler promotion for Alton Towers) instead we have 7 random nuns dressed up around London.
A sight you’d usually see on a regular basis on a standard London night out or any major city for that matter these scary sisters were scattered around the capital to promote the upcoming release of The Nun II arriving in cinemas September 8th.

Demonic nuns have been spotted across London, with the seven scary sisters also seen haunting spookily similarly named location ‘Seven Sisters Cliff’ in East Sussex ahead of the UK and Ireland release of New Line Cinema’s The Nun II, in cinemas 8th September 2023
Early risers in the capital had the fright of their life this morning as seven demonic nuns were spotted by morning commuters at several iconic London landmarks, signaling the upcoming arrival of The Nun II on 8th September 2023.
Crack of dawn sightings of the nightmarish nuns were reported near St Paul’s Cathedral, before the habit wearing horrors swarmed the Millennium Bridge and levitated across the Thames to scare commuters south of the river. Adapting to life in the capital, the nuns were seen boarding a bus to Seven Sisters, eagerly returning home to conduct further devilish deeds.
And after evading discovery in the capital, the mystifying robed figures—appearing to defy gravity by the sea—were reported by a couple strolling on the beach by Seven Sisters Cliffs in East Sussex, with the nuns spooking people on the south coast too.

The stunt, orchestrated by Warner Bros. Pictures to promote New Line Cinema’s new horror film, The Nun II, comes ahead of the film’s nationwide release on 8th September, with the demonic Valak set to haunt cinema goers all over again.
The Nun, Valak’s first standalone outing, possessed the global box office in 2018 (USD$ 365,550,119), becoming the highest-grossing entry in the acclaimed Conjuring horror franchise. Fans can expect even more scares and surprises in the prequel series’ second installment, which once again pits beloved protagonist Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) against the blood-curdling Demon Nun, Valak.
Directed by Michael Chaves, The Nun II stars Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, Bonnie Aarons, Katelyn Rose Downey, Suzanne Bertish, Léontine d’Oncieu, Anouk Darwin-Homewood and Gael Raës.

I’m just glad the nuns made it out of the capital ok. It’s dangerous territory down there for regular folks let alone 7 people dressed up as nuns!
Whilst it’s a good Nun II promotional stunt I think just a regular bus journey at night in London is more scary and intimidating than anything Warner Bros could conjure up!
The Nun II will be released in the UK and Ireland on 8th September 2023 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
