Ryan Giggs trial live: Ex-Manchester United star back in witness box after breaking down in tears | UK News

Ryan Giggs is asked about a message he sent to Kate Greville which said: “I’m so f***ing mad right now I’m scaring myself… I could do anything.”

Prosecutor Peter Wright QC asks Giggs what he was “inferring” in the message.

“I don’t know,” Giggs replies.

“Were you scaring yourself?” Mr Wright asks.

“It appears so, yes,” Giggs says.

“What were you contemplating you could do?” the prosecutor asks.

“I don’t know,” the ex-footballer responds.

Asked why he sent that message, Giggs says: “I don’t know.”

The messages were “threatening” and were “not a joke”, Mr Wright says.

“Nobody was laughing, least of all you,” the prosecutor says to Giggs.

The ex-footballer is asked about the alleged incident in Dubai where Ms Greville claims she was thrown out of a hotel room naked.

“You were violent towards her, weren’t you?” Mr Wright says.

“No,” Giggs says.

“Do you have difficulty keeping your temper, Mr Giggs?” the prosecutor asks.

“No,” Giggs replies.

Giggs is asked about a message in which he said he was “waiting for the bars to open” so he could “get some cl**ge”

He tells the court he was referring to women.

Asked if he “treats women as commodities”, Giggs says: “No.”
