Simpsons Cafe Opens in Primark Until May

Every time I visit a Primark lately they always seem to have a new themed cafe of sorts, from a Friends one, to a Shrek one, a Grinch one in Manchester for Christmas and it now looks as though this The Simpsons cafe is the flavour of the week.

The Simpsons Cancelled

Featuring food and decor based on the animated American sitcom there are a few of these themed cafes that have popped up this week in Belfast, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff and Manchester.

Market Street Manchester and Trafford Palazzo now have a Simpsons-themed cafe serving everything from milkshakes, waffles and toasties toa. variety of hor and cold drinks.

Homer’s favourite doughnuts are also on sale but sadly there is no Duff beer anywhere in sight.

Whilst I do rather enjoy these quirky cafes I wish Primark would just double down on having permanent ones with each Primark around the country having a fully themed cafe to a different IP.

This way people may even go out of their way to travel to Primark to check out the next unique offering and instead of a bit of vinyl slapped on everything, have some real effort go into the products on sale and how it looks.

Permanent theming, immersive spaces and a unique themed experience that’s different in every Primark location.

Check out this video below from Welsh Whispers ASMR of one of the cafes so you can get a feel for the place!

Out of all of the themed cafes, I’d have to say that the Friends Primark Cafe was my personal favourite, they made more of an effort compared to the very basic look of the rest of the chop-and-change aesthetic that the other cafes have.

Homer’s signature doughnut shake costs £5.95 here and consists of a doughnut on top of a strawberry shake with white chocolate drizzle, whipped cream and sprinkles.

Butter Backon Waffles, Loaded Toasties and more are on offer and outside of the cafe there is of course a whole range of The Simpsons merchandise and clothing to indulge in along with the rest of the Primark IP clothing ranges available.

The cafes are open until the beginning of May so make sure you head on down and soak up everything that this Springfield-themed pop-up has to offer.
