SNL Sends Up Netflix’s ‘The Hunting Wives’

Audrey Plaza played the new girl in SNL’s send up of Netflix’s hit drama The Hunting Wives, which the late night show described as a “straight but lesbian, horny Republican murder drama.”

Amy Poehler assumed the role of Malin Akerman’s Margo by flashing her tatas to Chloe Fineman, who took over as Brittany Snow’s Sophie. In this so-called season 2 of the drama, Fineman’s Sophie is back from prison and ready to canoodle with her brunette Texas hottie.

“All your faves are back and they’re as naughty as ever,” the narrator declares. “Thighs will be squeezed, guns will be drawn.”

As scenes of Poehler caressing a rifle-toting Fineman flash by, the narrator says, “People Magazine writes, it’s like Call Me By Your Name for women who shop at Bass Pro Shop.” There’s also reference to wigs “that are doing their best” on the show and those teens who hooked up with Snow’s randy character.

Plaza shows up as the “new new girl who joins the group,” having just moved from California. The women lose their cool, however, when they discover Plaza is actually a lesbian. That prompts them to pull out their rifles.
