As part of the Warner Bros 100th Anniversary and to mark the anniversary of Superman’s first comic book appearance, a brand new Superman 5-Film 4K collection is flying onto shelves this April!
Available on 4K Ultra HD Disc on 17th April. The Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Packs will include an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc with the feature films in 4K with HDR, a Blu-ray disc with the feature films and special features in HD.
Superman: The Movie also returns to the screen on the 2nd April at the iconic BFI Southbank, the home of classic and modern film, where fans will be able to enjoy the hero’s 1978 cinematic debut. On the 7th April, select cinemas across the UK will also give the public the opportunity to witness the return of Superman’s first film to the big screen.

Director Richard Donner began shooting Superman II while concurrently filming Superman: The Movie, though the theatrical version of the film was ultimately directed by Richard Lester. In 2006, Donner’s original unique vision was released for the first time. Jor-El (Marlon Brando in footage cut from the theatrical version) appears in key scenes that amplify Superman lore and deepen the relationship between father and son. Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) plots more schemes to unmask Clark Kent as Superman (Christopher Reeve). With so many changes, large and small, including a different beginning and resolution, this version is an eye-opening alternate experience.
