The Stranger Things 5 Trailer Has Landed!

Stranger Things 5 Poster

It’s officially here as the Stranger Things 5 trailer has landed and boy oh boy are we in for a treat!

Netflix officially released the dates for the highly-anticipated finale season on a few days ago along with a brand new poster (seen just above) that have left fans excited for this very day.

The first four episodes of the season (Volume 1) will be dropping on November 26th, 2025 with the Volume 2 episodes dropping on Christmas Day (December 25, 2025).

If that wasn’t enough of a tease they’re releasing the grand finale (episode 8) on New Year’s Eve (January 1, 2026).

Each volume will release at 1am GMT time Netflix confirmed and the only information released about the final season before this trailer release is the following synopsis:

“Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished – his whereabouts and plans unknown.”

“Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread.

There has been quite the delay since Season 4 premiered back in the summer of 2022 but we’ve had just enough to whet the appetite in-between especially with the introduction of the amazing Stranger Things: The First Shadow stage show which features as a prequel to the Netflix series and certainly gives us an extended back story on Henry Creel (Vecna).

The theatre show was a West End smash hit when it premiered in December 2023 and went on to feature in Broadway in April 2022 to critical acclaim.

There was also a Netflix show that went behind the curtain of the The First Shadow and whilst a little lacking in detail towards the actual production side of things outside of auditions it was a nice and unique glimpse into this exciting Segway that has bridged the gap between Season 4 and this upcoming final season.

Fear not Stranger Things fans this certainly won’t be the last we see of the show as future productions for Netflix will include an animated spin-off of Stranger Things called Tales from ’85 which will be released sometime in 2026.

This show will take place in 1985 between the 2nd and third season and there is also another TV spin-off in the works at Upside Down Pictures however not much is known about this one.

Whilst I’m all for more Stranger Things goodies I feel as though milking a franchise dry isn’t always the best way to go about it, just look at what’s planned for Squid Game?! Just leave it alone already!

In what has been touted as the deadliest season yet it’s very clear that not all of our Season 4 heroes will make it out of this season alive, there’s plenty of bets being placed on who will live and who will die with Eleven being a firm favourite to go along with fan-favourite Steve but I have a feeling there will be more casualties than what we’re led to initially believe.

As the trailer shows there seems to be a heavy focus on the WSQK radio station from the trailer and from how it comes across many of the characters fates are hanging in the balance with many a final glance or final word being uttered to keep us all guessing regarding their fates.

As the government has taken over Hawkins it seems as though demogorgons can now climb trees and do some other crazy athlete like jumps.

There was a quick glimpse as Eddie’s defaced tombstone (RIP dude) but it still could mean we see this fan-favourite character return in some shape or form, they wouldn’t do us like that, would they?

With Jonathan and Natalie exchanging some of the longest dialogue within the trailer is their fate already sealed?

With portals popping up all over the place to the upside down fear not because LINDA HAMILTON is here to save us all. The Terminator actress just rocks up into any film or show and kicks its ass so you can be damn sure she’ll be here to save the day in some capacity here.

Roll on November!
