So Universal’s Epic Universe has finally been given an official opening date today as this highly anticipated park will be opening its doors to the public on May 22nd, 2025.
The launch date was today announced by the park along with a very exciting video giving guests a glimpse into what they are soon to experience when the gates officially open.
Universal’s most ambitious theme park to date will offer more than 50 attractions and experiences spread across 5 themed lands including Celestial Park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and Dark Universe.
In addition to the theme park the Universal Helios Grand Hotel that overlooks the new park will open on the same day as the park (May 22nd) and will consist of 500 rooms including themed rooms for each of the lands offered within Epic Universe.

“With the addition of this spectacular new theme park, our guests will embark on an unforgettable vacation experience with a week’s worth of thrills that will be nothing short of epic! Our universe will never be the same.”
Multi-day tickets and holiday packages are set to go on sale on October 22nd but there’s a little confusion with the tickets because the ones listed so far only give guests access to Epic Universe for one day with the other 13 days of the 14-day ticket being for the other parks in Universal’s range.
The website is also confusing for some as it doesn’t seem to let people purchase single tickets or park-only entry tickets at this moment in time for any of the parks but this may change or they may be having an issue currently.
Annual pass holders can purchase single-day tickets to Universal Epic Universe from 24 October, before they go on sale to the public and soft openings have also been teased by the park on their website so stay tuned for further details on those particular dates where you’ll be able to experience the park before it officially opens!
