Welcome to Derry Series: ‘No Child Is Safe’


It seems that no child is safe in the upcoming IT: Welcome to Derry series on Max as Pennywise will be back to picking off key members of the cast in this upcoming series, no one is safe.

Casting director Rich Della revealed recently in an interview with The Direct that audiences should expect to see some kids die in the new show.

He also spoke about his previous experience of casting as he worked on Andy Muschietti’s IT and IT Chapter Two features. feature adaptations,

 “I think the original cast of Losers are such beautiful young actors who have all gone on to do amazing things,” he said. “And I love casting them so much.”

He went on to mention that finding this new set of actors for the series was ‘a little overwhelming… but the material was so strong.

“When you’re working with people like that who care and are giving it 100%, it makes you want to give 100%. So, it was just trying to uncover every stone as possible, to find these kids and find the most amazing, memorable kids that the audience will love, you know, falling in love with, and then some of them, of course, watching them die.”

With actor Bill Skarsgård recently confirming that Pennywise will still be very R-rated it seems as though no one is safe in Derry throughout the series with no punches pulled.

Prepare yourselves, viewers, and don’t get too attached to any particular cast members as they’re all on the chopping block as Pennywise will be premiering on Max sometime in 2025.

No official date confirmation has been announced for this highly anticipated series but we’re eagerly awaiting news or even our first glimpse of this brand-new horror series within the Stephen King IT universe.

 The series stars Skarsgård (who is also executive producing), Madeleine Stowe, Stephen Rider, Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, and James Remar.

IT and IT Chapter Two are available to stream on Max.
