Squid Game Season 3 Still

Squid Game (오징어 게임) returns next Friday (June 27) as we get to see how the finale plays out and the season 3 trailer gives us a brief glimpse of Gi-hun’s fate ahead of the Netflix debut but just how lucky has Gi-hun been so far? Recent research (from Pinnacle) has revealed just which of the Squid Game rounds are the most dangerous based on death rate percentage. Let’s take a look!

Combining the games of season one and two the research tally’s up the games that had the highest death rate of them all but with Season 3 teasing even tougher games, this research may need to be revisited after the show airs!

Glass Stepping Stones

Taking the top spot is the Glass Stepping Stones as the deadliest game in the Squid Game franchise, the game involves contestants who must choose between two parallel bridges by jumping across glass panels but amongst the panels are weaker glass compared to tempered glass so choose your steps wisely or fall to your death.

Whilst during this game only 13 players died only 16 participated meaning contestants faced a whopping 81.25% chance of death where fewer than one in five made it out of the game alive.

Mingle

During Mingle, players group up and enter rooms following a predetermined number, if the players don’t manage to make it to a room in time with the correct number of people within it they’ll be shot by the guards.

Out of 255 participants only 100 survived, giving Mingle a 60.78% fatality rate. Ouch!

Marbles

Featured in the fourth round of season 1 Marbles involves players choosing one partner with whom they would play a marble game of their choice, with the losers eliminated.

Whilst the death toll of 22 is modest compared to the other games in the series it was only out of a total group of 38 people giving Marbles a 57.89% death rate making it the last game in the franchise so far to eclipse the 50th threshold.
